I've always had it. Where I'm from, anyone with a soul's got one, to shield you from harm. But you have to unlock it... so as a kid, I wound up with scrapes and bruises a lot.

[rollin]

Oh. How'd you get it? [ He asks it with a smile. Origin story time! ]

I got old enough that my dad realized it'd probably help me out when I started fighting seriously, so he helped me with it. You need your aura to be able to use your Semblance, so it's kind of the first step.

[ Unless you're Jaune and you need a girl to unlock your aura for you oops. ]

Ohhh. [ He holds his head when she throws another unfamiliar term in. ] Sem...blance? What's that?

Oh, geez, how to explain it... it's kind of like a specialty thing? Like, Ruby's Semblance is her speed-- it's seriously amazing when she activates it. And Blake can make copies of herself.
