Anyway, Mikoto-san's the best king ever. He's like a hero. [ He says as he tosses some apples up in the air and into his basket. ]

Well, alright! [ Moving on to look at some vegetables. He's all smiles as he starts with, ] It all started when me and Saruhiko joined Homra around three years ago.

[ There's a pause, and it seems like his smile freezes there for a moment. ]

We joined at the same time, didn't we? ... Yeah. We were friends back then.

[ He says this in a tone that seems like he's shrugging the topic off. ]

Saruhiko? [ repeating it, thinking back -- ] Oh, yeah! That monkey guy.

[ His smile disappears and he shakes his head. ]

It's a long story. [ And in retrospect, ] I don't even know half of it. We just kinda grew apart.

[ It isn't hard to imagine a day when one day she'll wake up and her friends won't be there anymore. ]

[ He pulls the collar of his shirt back for a moment so Nowi can see the Homra insignia. ]

Then I find out Kamamoto's in Homra, too. I saved his ass all the time back when we were kids, so when I saw him, he was like "Yata-san!" y'know? He'd been in Homra for a while around that time, so... I guess I started gettin' along with everyone else pretty quickly, too.
